Welcome to another Microfiction Monday! Susan at Stony River provides a picture and you paint a story using
140 characters or fewer.
Today's picture
Not even a bed of his own, but his Master's shoe.
She made a wish as she exchanged the coin for the tooth.
This child would awake first.
~ON THE LIGHTER SIDE~
As she held her breath, the thought crossed her mind.
Will I pass out from the lack of oxygen
or from the stench of this smelly shoe?

Okay, now I really like the second-I needed the laugh tonight!
Loved the lighter side. Too funny.
The first was sweet and sad. The second made me giggle. It's a toss-up!
Both were so good, but the second one will give me nice dreams!
The first was great, but the second really brought home the need for OSHA for fairies. No profession is too small for safety equipment. :)
First one--I'm thinking, Aww, poignant and touching.
Second one --I'm laughing a lot inside my head. Thanks for the laugh, Vicki!
One for inspiration and one for a laugh, thanks for both.

Thoughts in Progress
What little fairies have to go through ;-)
"As she held her breath, the thought crossed her mind. Will I pass out from the lack of oxygen or from the stench of this smelly shoe?"
Poor, little Fairy stuck with such thankless employment. Where is the Discovery Channel when you need them?! She and her "line" could definitely make for an episode on Dirty Jobs. LOL!
Such fun! Great take!
Lol the shoe to avoid, I laugh out on the second poem
I'm glad I have a proper bed! LOL
I chuckled at the second one, how funny!
smelly shoes are such fodder for laughs
the first one is very touching
I had to read the first one a couple of times to really experience it. Great one! :O)
Haha--loved them both! I went with the 'smelly' shoe theme this week too.
Have a great one!
I saw a few of the smelly shoe takes -- great minds think alike which is better than great shoes stink alike.
And I liked the tooth fairy one, too.
No sweet-smelling shoes this week!
Loved both of these, Vicki. Have a great week.
