Past Its Prime~Thematic Photographic 186

I posted this picture in an earlier ABC post. I love old buildings like this!
They pull at my heart strings to know that someone just let them go. There
is a beauty and sadness in structures like these.

Oh I like these kinds of buildings too, and you captured the true beauty of it....and the nice row of mailboxes in front of it makes it this once useful building worthy of repair right!

Great shot! And what a shame that a building like that is left to fall down.

You can see how strong it once was, and the building material is still sound - I hope someone came along and renovated it.

Very dreary. I'd love to wander around in that. :)

Love the picture. I know the feeling looking at buildings like these. I wonder who lived or worked there, was it a place of happiness or sadness. Why'd they let it go?

It is always buildings made of stone that look more forlorn when let go like this.

The epitome of sadness and neglect. Great photo!

I like this photo because it conveys an emotion (sadness) and because you can almost hear the history of the house.

Even as a kid I was strangely moved by ruins and I still am.
